More than 100 fans gathered outside of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Box Office Friday morning for a chance to purchase tickets to Bruce Springsteen’s May 6 concert. The first person in line arrived the night before, but decided to head home to sleep and returned that morning at 3:45 a.m.
“Even though I like Bruce Springsteen, I’m here for my wife,” he said. “She’s a huge fan!”
One woman recently taught her students about Bruce Springsteen and the late Clarence Clemons during Black History Month.
“During the Civil Rights Movement, it was a huge deal that Bruce and Clarence worked together,” she said. “I wanted to give them the gift of learning about this on Valentine’s Day, so in turn, they are putting together a petition to try and get me on stage to dance with Bruce.”
Thankfully everyone in line this morning was able to get tickets to the concert.
